We've been working on our Science Fair projects... It's not easy working with other people sometimes but what can we do to help us work better together as a team and as a class? What can we do that would help us achieve our goal of producing a great project and learning about how to save the environment?
I'd like to leave you with this thought.. It's one of my favourite quotations by Ho Lin Lik, "It is well to remember that, possibly, the greatest strength of humanity is its diversity, and that its strong bond lies in mutual respect."
Have a great weekend.. Think about it.. Thanks for a great week, you guys did good work!

Term 3...

The holidays just seemed to whizz past so quickly and we've now been back at school for 4 weeks. We had the school carnival, the NE show and on Wednesday, we went to the Wallace Education Centre at Dairy Farm...
It was a hot day but I was looking forward to it... It has been a busy term and it gave me a chance to head out with you guys to do something different! It was interesting looking at the different flora in the nature reserve, but what I really enjoyed was going into trail itself... The mud wasn't so fun though!! ;) Yes, I remember the squeals and the hesitation when we encountered the muddy patch... Did you remember the goey, sinking sensation of the mud as you stepped into it? And then the cool, muddy water seeping into your shoe?? ;)
I loved the little red ruffed hummingbird we saw among the flowers in the Lantern Plant.. How often do we get to see birds in their natural environment and feeding?
When you guys were asked to think about what nature means to you... It kinda got me thinking too.. I never really thought about it.. I know that we are losing a lot of primary forest due to industrialization and civilization, about the greenhouse effect, the ozone layer... Deforestation, pollution.. All the negative stuff I guess... The question about what nature means to me made me take a different view of things and I suppose made me think about how I feel about and think about nature..
Nature (Noun) - the natural world as it exists without human beings and civilisation; elements of the natural world such as mountains, trees, rivers or animals.
Is it possible we take nature for granted? I guess I do sometimes, I always assume those mountains, birds, the beach.. Will always be there... Its important to me, I love all the activities I do which involve nature and if I couldn't do them anymore I would be very upset, to say the least. It is the basis for our existence and is all around us.. Let's not take it for granted and look after it well.. So that our children and their children will still be able to experience what we have now...

5 Joseph... What's Your Attitude?
Hi guys...
Ok, as we discussed in class... What's your attitude to your work and your life? Think about it... What would you like out of your life? Where do you see yourself ten years from now? I know its something that seems really far away but you know something? Its not...
Start planning.. What happens now, will have an impact/effect on your life sometime down the road... Gentlemen... Carpe Diem...!!!!
Ms Goh... Reflecting as well on my attitude to my work... :)

Welcome!!
Hi guys...
Welcome to your own blog... I will close down the group page I started on Facebook so that everyone can access and participate in this blog.
I would like to use this as a way for us to communicate out of class and during the holidays... Do let your parents know about this so they can see what we are doing in class and perhaps have a look at some of our pictures!
Keep up the great work you are doing in class.... :)
Regards, Ms Goh... Your blogmaster... ;)
